Each user must have their own unique login and account in eBrief Ready. This article explains why sharing login details is not permitted and what risks it creates.
Reasons for Individual Logins
| Reason | Details |
| Policy Agreement | Our End User Agreement (EULA) prohibits sharing login or account details on the platform. |
| 2FA | Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is mandatory for all users. 2FA attaches to a unique login and verification process. It cannot function correctly with shared access. |
| Audit Trail | eBrief Ready maintains an audit trail for security purposes. This trail records who created matters, who uploaded or removed documents, and who shared matters. Shared logins break this record. |
| Individual Attribution of Work | Annotations and chronologies must be assigned to an individual user. A shared login prevents the platform from attributing this work correctly. |
| Security Risks | Shared passwords and login details expose your firm to risk when a user leaves the firm. Individual logins let you revoke access for one person without affecting anyone else. |
