eBrief Ready offers different subscription options for law firms and barristers. This article explains each option to help you choose the one that best suits your needs.
All clients can access training, from online webinars to face-to-face online group sessions, and support services via online forms, email and phone.
eBrief Ready is priced per month/per user and invoiced annually. Any increase in user numbers during the year is adjusted at a pro rata rate.

Law firm subscriptions #
Law Firm Plus — suitable for large to mid size firms
The Law Firm Plus account is for multiple users at the same firm. It allows the firm to manage users on the eBrief Ready platform — for example transferring matters if someone leaves the firm or is away sick.
It also provides:
- A branded, customised landing page and email template for sharing matters
- Access to Single Sign On (SSON)
- Assistance with firm compliance requirements such as security questionnaires
- For every full paying user, one additional View Only user
Law Firm — suitable for small to mid size firms
The Law Firm account is for multiple users at the same firm. It allows the firm to manage users on the eBrief Ready platform and provides a branded, customised landing page and email template for sharing matters.
Pro — suitable for individual users
The Pro account is designed for sole practitioners or individual users within a law firm. A Pro account gives you access to share matters externally. Invited parties can upload documents without any charges.
Barrister subscriptions #
List/Chambers
The List/Chambers account is for Barrister Chambers and Lists. It ensures all barristers of the Chamber or List can benefit from the full functionality of the platform, receiving and sharing briefs with all their clients including non-paying Limited account subscribers.
The subscribing List or Chambers will be featured on the eBrief Ready website. Participating barristers have a branded, customised email template for sharing matters. The account is typically paid by the List or Chambers, not the individual barrister.
Pro — suitable for individual barristers
The Pro account is designed for sole practitioners or individual barristers. A Pro account gives you access to share matters externally. Invited parties can upload documents without any charges.
Barrister option for law firm subscribers
Barrister Chambers or Lists that have an eBrief Ready subscription for their entire organisation can be briefed by any eBrief Ready subscriber, including free Limited account subscribers. In this instance you will have access to Pro version functionality without charge for any matter you share with an eBrief Ready Barrister.
Limited account #
A user who does not pay for an eBrief Ready subscription has a Limited account. They can create a matter but cannot upload documents until the matter is associated with a paying subscriber.
With a Limited account you cannot:
- Upload documents to matters you initiate
- Compile court books or briefs
- Conduct document searches
- Annotate documents
- Duplicate a matter
- Assign matters to colleagues, deactivate users, or reassign matters if a user leaves
