How to Annotate a Document in Your Court Book
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Click into Your Matter
To start, navigate to the relevant matter where you need to make annotations. This could be a specific case or document folder in your system.
2. Create a Court Book (Optional)
If you wish to annotate multiple documents at once, create a court book. A court book allows you to compile and organize several documents in one place before adding annotations.
-
To create a court book:
-
Select actions and "Create Court Book" from the menu.
-
Add the documents you want to annotate into the court book.
-
3. Select a Document for Annotation
Once your court book is created, click on the document within the court book that you wish to annotate.
4. Use the Annotation Tool
Inside the document, find the A button in the top menu. This button is the annotation tool.
-
Click on the A icon to activate the annotation feature.
-
Highlight the section you wish to annotate by clicking and dragging over the relevant text or content.
-
You can update the date from the calendar or manually add a date to the annotation.
5. View Annotations
To see all your annotations, click on the Annotations button located on the right-hand side of the screen.
-
This will open a panel that lists all your annotations for easy navigation.
Key Tips:
- You can make annotations directly on a document or manage them more efficiently by using a court book if dealing with multiple documents.
- The annotations list helps you keep track of all your annotations in one place, making it easier to revisit and modify them as needed.
