This article explains the different subscription/licensing options for eBrief Ready that allow clients to choose the service that best suits their needs.
All clients can access training, from online webinars to face-to-face online group sessions. All clients can access support services via online forms, email and phone.
eBrief Ready is priced per month per user and invoiced annually. Any increase of user numbers during the year is adjusted at pro rata rate.
Law Firm Plus Account - Suitable for large-to-mid size firms
The Law Firm Plus account option - for multiple users at the same firm - allows the firm to manage their users on the eBrief Ready platform (for example transfer matters if someone leaves the firm or is away sick).
It also provides firms with their own branded, customised landing page and email template for sharing matters, as well as access to Single Server Sign On (SSON) and assistance with the firm and compliance requirements, such as security questionnaires.
In the Law Firm Plus account, for every full paying user, firms can have an extra View Only user. Click View Only Users Access to learn more about this feature.
Law Firm Account - Suitable for small-to-mid size firms
The Law Firm account option - for multiple users at the same firm - allows the firm to manage their users on the eBrief Ready platform (for example transfer matters if someone leaves the firm or is away sick).
It also provides firms with their own branded, customised landing page and email template for sharing matters.
Pro Account - Suitable for individual user
The Pro license is designed for sole practitioners or individual users within a law firm. If there is only one user at your firm, you can be set up with an eBrief Ready Pro subscription.
A Pro account gives you access to share matters externally and your invited parties/members with whom the matter is shared can upload documents without any charges.
Limited Account
A user who does not pay for the eBrief Ready subscription can have a Limited account. They can create a matter but are not able to upload documents until the matter is associated with a paying subscriber.
If you hold a Limited account, duplicating a matter is not possible, regardless of the subscription status of any associated parties.
This account level does not have an administrative module. Consequently, you cannot assign matters to colleagues, deactivate users, or reassign matters if a user departs from the firm, potentially resulting in unmanaged matters.
In summary, without a subscription, you maintain access to your data. However, you are restricted from:
- Uploading documents to matters you initiate
- Compiling Court Books/Briefs
- Conducting document searches
- Annotating documents
eBrief Ready Barrister Option
Barrister Chambers or Barrister Lists that have an eBrief Ready subscription for their entire organisation can be briefed by any eBrief Ready subscribers, including the free Limited Version subscribers. In this instance you will have access to the eBrief Ready Pro version functionality without charge for a matter you share with an eBrief Ready Barrister.
