# How to transfer an existing matter to Multiparty?

You can easily migrate any existing matter you have previously created into a [Multiparty matter](https://ebriefready.legalready.ai/knowledge/multiparty-matter/) by following these simple steps:

## If your matter is Multiparty: 

1. Use the ”Copy Matter” function to copy it to yourself.
2. Follow the steps below.

## If the matter *is not Multiparty*: 

1. Select the ”Copy to Myself” option.
2. Enable the Multiparty feature.
3. Enter your party name. 
4. Click the ”Copy” button.
