Occasionally, the documents included within a brief will be under password protection. We often see this with medical records, or other particularly highly sensitive information.
The issue arises when attempting to generate a brief using these documents which are under password protection. You will not be able to produce an index and you may receive a notification telling you the documents are corrupted.
The solution
- Open up the document which is password protected in Adobe and Print to File.
- This will create a new PDF document, which will not be password protected.
- You should then upload this document into eBrief Ready, and delete the password protected document.
